Turning refuse to energy

With the depletion of fossil fuels and the impact that sending waste to landfill has on the environment, we at Cherry Hill Waste have committed ourselves to minimising the environmental impact of refuse management. By refusing to send waste to landfill and finding other means of turning waste to energy, we offer a more eco-friendly waste disposal method to businesses in Newcastle-under-lyme than traditional waste management teams.

Committed to recycling

At Cherry Hill Waste we aim to send as little waste as possible to landfill. At the moment, our commercial waste recycling reports let us know that we recycle around or over 90% of all waste we receive, and almost 0% is sent to landfill. Over the next few years, we hope to dedicate ourselves even further and recycle 100% of our waste.

What is green waste?

Green waste is waste that can be easily composted, whereas wood waste cannot always be composted. Although this refuse can be burnt, this is a wasteful and polluting method of disposing of it. A better way to deal with this waste is to turn it into biogas, which converts waste wood and green waste into an efficient gas used to power generators and provide hot water and electricity.
